How we research
Every remedy goes through the same checks before it's shared.
- Find the tradition. We name where a remedy comes from, whether that's Ayurveda, Appalachian folk medicine, or European herbalism, and describe it accurately.
- Check the evidence. We look at sources like the NIH's National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, MedlinePlus, and published research.
- Rate it honestly. Each benefit is labeled: strong evidence, some evidence, early evidence, or traditional use only.
- Check safety. We only share remedies that are low-risk at normal food amounts, and we list who should skip each one.
- Link the sources. Every remedy page lists where the information came from, so you can check it yourself.
When a remedy doesn't hold up
We say so. Myth-busters are part of the library, because knowing what doesn't work saves you time and money.
Words we don't use
"Cure," "detox," "miracle," and "what doctors won't tell you." Natural remedies can ease symptoms and support everyday wellbeing. They don't replace medical care.
